Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he is unsure if star midfielder Yaya Touré will remain at the club

Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he is unsure if star midfielder Yaya Touré will remain at the club beyond the season.

The Ivory Coast midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan, which will reunite him with his former boss Roberto Mancini. The Italian is a huge admirer of the physical midfielder after having initially spent £ 24 million in bringing him from Barcelona. Not long ago, Touré was considered as one of the top players in the Premier League. Even now, he remains a force to reckon with that his lack of consistency this season has been a huge problem.

Even though this season had been disrupted by the Africa Cup of Nations, Manchester City were expecting a lot out of the 32-year-old. He is the highest earning player in the City game with a reporter wages of around £ 220,000 per week. Inter Milan are unlikely to pay him in the same league, but it is understood that Touré is keen on being reunited with mentioning that he is even willing to take a pay cut. Aside from the speculation surrounding Touré, James Milner has also been linked with a free transfer to Liverpool. Milner’s current contract runs out in a couple of months and City have not shown interest in renewing the deal.

"Same as James Milner - we have to analyse the whole squad at the end of the season and then we will see which is the best for the club and the player.James must decide what he wants to do for his future. That just belongs to him. He asked the club to allow him to take the decision at the end of the season. He will do it in the right moment. There are a lot of things we must think about for the future. We will try to do it as well as we can," said Pellegrini.
