ENGLAND DREAM

Unlike C.Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and other players Frank Lampard has already qualified into the 2014 World Cup as England finished on top of Group H with 22 points and the English midfielder said he can enjoy this week without having any pressure.

The Chelsea midfielder also went on to talk about the recent changes that England has been going through with the blend of players that have different ages.

“It is great position for the manager because a couple of years ago there were questions about where the youngsters were, and we have watched them step up,” he added.
“The young boys are coming in without any fear and they are adding something to the squad.”

The 35 years old player made his 103rd appearance for England in their friendly match against Chile that saw them taking a surprising 2-0 loss but even though he has made so many appearance with his national team, Lampard said that it is never certain on who the coach will pick to represent the team in the upcoming World Cup.

"If I walked around thinking my 103 caps would get me on the plane I would probably be on the beach," he said. That means you are taking things for granted and I don't think any of us can afford to do that."

"If your form isn't good enough in the next quite big period of time, six or seven months until May, when our season finishes. We all have to be on top form. I don't think it should be any other way."

Lampard is hoping that this World Cup will see England going further than their last one. In the 2010 World Cup England was eliminated from the tournament when they faced off against Germany and lost 4-1 but Lampard scored a goal that was disallowed even though TV replays showed the ball crossing the goal line.
