No Problems between Guardiola and Yaya Touré, says Agent

Yaya Touré has not featured in the Manchester City team for the last three weeks after his agent, Dmitri Seluk, was involved in a problem with Pep Guardiola.

Touré was never really amongst the favour when Guardiola was the manager at Barcelona. Seluk has been consistently involved in a war of words with either City or the manager has over the last few years.Touré has been reportedly contemplating the possibility of moving to either Italy or other major leagues rather than stay at the Etihad stadium where his importance has diminished quite considerably.

Seluk came up with a direct criticism of Guardiola and the new manager did not take things lightly. He has demanded an apology fromSeluk if his client was ever to play first-team football again. Staying true to his word, Guardiola has not selected Toure for the last three weeks despite City’s form plummeting in the last few games.Seluk has hinted that some kind of compromise may be found. He claims that there are no problems in between Guardiola and Toure despite reports of the same in the media. Touré was sold to City for £ 24 million when Guardiola was the manager at Barcelona.

The player has a contract until the end of the season and it remains as one of the highest earning players with wages of £ 240,000 per week.“Problems between Pep and Yaya? No, absolutely not. I deny these rumours.Yaya will stay at Manchester City. There is a valid contract until the end of the season, then we will see what is the best situation for his future. There are many teams that would like Yaya, not just in Italy. The issue was Manchester City, who demanded a lot of money to let him go,” said Seluk in a recent interview.
