TEVEZ LEFT UNHAPPY AFTER BUS ATTACK

Carlos Tevez has slammed officials of the Copa Libertadores after the final match was postponed, with the forward claiming that his side would have been out under similar circumstances.

The Boca Juniors striker was left furious with CONMEBOL officials over their reaction to the bus attack which resulted in the postponement of the Copa Libertadores cup final game against River Plate.

The big game was pushed forward to a more convenient date after Boca Junior’s bus came under attack outside the El Monumental Stadium in Argentina, with various players been hospitalized after suffering severe wounds from the chaos.

However, CONMEBOL officials were awaiting some information from the club before announcing the postponement of the game, with CONMEBOL obviously wanting the fixture to go ahead as planned as they delayed kick-off on more than one occasion.

Former Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez was left fuming by the governing body’s approach to the bus attack issue, claiming they were forcing his club, Boca Juniors to play the game despite the injuries sustained by their players.

The club’s players have been in the hospital since the attack and have been left shocked by the way the incident played out, with Tevez hitting out at the official’s handling of the issue.
Tevez said, “I think this is a shame, what CONMEBOL is doing is a shame. I say this personally. If someone wants to take action against me for it, do it, I accept it”.

“Pablo Perez was in the hospital and they were forcing us to play“. It is a shame. There were two Boca
“players in the hospital“
,another one vomiting; I was vomiting too, everyone sneezing”, he added.

Tevez also claimed that he was sure if similar events happened at a Boca home game, then the trophy would be awarded to River, who he believes are given favorable treatment.
