The long and protracted saga of Yaya Touré may very well come to an end in the summer as Inter Milan are stepping up their pursuit of the Ivory Coast midfielder.

Toure has long been a transfer target for Inter, who have been able to make significant steps in the right direction under the management of Roberto Mancini. However, the former City manager reckons that it will take a lot more in order to get on the club back to winning ways in the Italian Serie A. The club has not won the league title for the last four seasons.

There is a need to revamp the whole team in order to compete against the best in the world. Scotland will focus on improving the youth football as part of a long-term vision.

Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he is unsure if star midfielder Yaya Touré will remain at the club beyond the season.

The Ivory Coast midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan, which will reunite him with his former boss Roberto Mancini. The Italian is a huge admirer of the physical midfielder after having initially spent £ 24 million in bringing him from Barcelona. Not long ago, Touré was considered as one of the top players in the Premier League. Even now, he remains a force to reckon with that his lack of consistency this season has been a huge problem.

Ivory Coast went through a very dramatic penalty session with Ghana which concluded in a 9-8 victory for the Ivorian nation as they were claimed as the champions of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
