Yaya Toure recently returned to Manchester City

Yaya Toure has recently returned to Manchester City and the Etihad Stadium after having spent some time playing and representing his country Ivory Coast at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in January. Before YayaToure had left Manchester City, the English club was competing side by side with Chelsea as both teams had the same amount of points as each squad had collected a total of 46 points, this was on New Year’s Day.

Manuel Pellegrini unhappy with unavailability of Toure

The Manchester City boss, Manuel Pellegrini, is not happy with the fact that one of his main guys in the midfield, Yaya Toure, is not going to be available for a few weeks at the start of the New Year because of his national commitments.

But, according to Pellegrini, it’s something that the club already knew and that’s why, the veteran player Frank Lampard was signed on loan.

However, it’s not certain at the moment whether Lampard would be at Etihad for the second half of the season or not.

YAYA STRUGGLING FOR FORM

Yaya Touré has been a shadow of himself this campaign, but the Ivory Coast international helped Manchester City get yet another crucial victory in the Manchester derby. City have enjoyed the upper hand in the local derbies of late.

This record continued after Sergio Aguero’s score in the second half to give City a 1-0 win. The result keeps the blues five points behind Chelsea in the league table. There was a danger of dropping more points especially given that Pellegrini’s team had suffered two defeats leading up to this match.

Silva to remain out after injury

Thiago Silva is going to remain away from action for some time at least after injuring his hammy playing against Napoli the other day.
The MRI tests have been done on the defender and the results have not been too positive. It’s believed that he will be missing 3-4 games for his club Paris Saint-Germain.
Silva will obviously be sidelined now from Brazil’s matches too during international break.
The Selecao has to face Colombia and Ecuador back-to-back and they will have to do without Silva in those two games.

Fernando Signed With City

The Brazilian midfielder and new arrival of Manchester City, Fernando signed with the English club earlier in the month of June as City had to pay the Portuguese side Porto around €12 million in order to seal the services of Fernando on a permanent deal.
Fernando will be playing alongside popular and recognized players such as: Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero, Frank Lampard, David Silva, Samir Nasri, Bacary Sagna and James Milner just to name a few of the more well-known figures of Manchester City but Fernando is most excited to work next to Yaya Toure.
