Ronaldo Linked With A Return To Real Madrid

Juventus superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to be linked with a return to Real Madrid even though it is looking quite unlikely that he will be making the move anytime soon. Ronaldo left the Santiago Bernabeu in 2018 after it appeared that the club's president Florentino Perez refused to agree to his contract demands. After his departure, there were talks about him not being properly honored as well as he should be, especially judging by the fact that he left the Los Blancos as their highest ever goalscorer.

Ronaldo also played a huge role in helping Madrid win three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles under the management of head coach Zinedine Zidane. Following the reports of the former Manchester United forward growing discontent with life at Real Madrid, Juventus came knocking and paid a little over $100 million to acquire his services.

Ronaldo's time at the Old Lady has not been quite the fairytale even though he has been the club's best player over the last couple of seasons. His arrival has promised an average of at least 25 goals per season in all competitions, but he has received a lot of criticism for being unable to help Juve clinch the Champions League title; something he was majorly signed to help them with.

He may also have to ensure a trophy-less season at the club, and they may fail to win the league title which they have won consecutively in the last nine years. That is also another reason the Portugal international forward has received a lot of criticism so far this season.

Marca are reporting that Ronaldo might consider re-signing for Real Madrid on the condition that Zidane remains as manager of the Los Blancos. But with Madrid also not looking likely to win any trophy this season, it may be hard for him to remain there.
