YAYA FEELS THE HEAT

In these last few days Yaya Toure was under a lot of heat as he had to wait for the final decision from the Football Association as to whether or not the African player will be banned from his recent actions against Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

Manchester City played against Norwich City on a Premier League match that concluded on a goalless draw but the more interesting thing that happened during the encounter was Yaya Toure kicking Ricky van Wolfswinkel at the home stadium of Norwich City, Carrow Road but the referee Jon Moss did not punish Toure.

Jose Mourinho has always been known to speak his mind about things and this time is no different as he spoke about the incident to the press and suggested that the former Barcelona player indeed should be punished for his actions.

“If he's not suspended, the message is clear: the players can do what they want if the referee doesn't see. If the FA defends football, he would have to be suspended.” Mourinho said.

According to the new rules for retrospective punishment of the Football Association, the final decision will rest on a panel of 3 former referees as they will be deciding if the player is going to be banned for the upcoming few matches of his club.

The 3 former referees reviewed footage of the incident and have already stated that Yaya Toure is not going to be charged for the violent conduct which is good news for Manchester City as they have a pretty busy schedule as they have to go against Barcelona in the Champions League and Chelsea in the FA Cup and the side of Manuel Pellegrini cannot afford to drop any points in the Premier League if they want to continue being at the top along with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
